Cezar de la Cruz is currently an Assistant Brewmaster Brewing Superintendent at the San Miguel Brewery Inc.- Polo Brewery Plant at Valenzuela, Metro Manila. He has been an active member of the PIChE Polo Chapter where he served as President for two terms already. He was elected to the National Board in 2006 as Director for Metro Manila and has since been reelected as Vice President for Metro Manila in 2007 and as the National Executive Vice President and 70th National Convention chair in 2008 and as PIChE President in 2009. He is now serving his second term as PIChE President.
His “love” for PIChE has earned him the PIChE Presidential Award in the 69th National Convention. He dreams to see a well-organized and very coherent group of Chemical Engineers working together for the betterment of their profession.

Reynaldo L. Esguerra

“Rey” Esguerra currently heads the Integrated Program on Cleaner Production Technologies (http://cptech.dost.gov.ph) of the Industrial Technology Development Institute-Department of Science and Technology (DOST). A graduate of the Mapua Institute of Technology, Rey is also the Vice-President of the PIChE-DOST Chapter. He was also the PIChE National Secretary in 2006 and PIChE National PRO in 2007. He has been reelected this year as Vice President for the National Capital Region.
Rey looks forward to the active participation of all chemical engineers and PIChE chapters in continuing the BIG LEAP made in 2008, particularly in the drafting of the Code of Technical Standards for the practice of chemical engineering for the major industries. |

Josephine Q. Borja

Josie Borja is a Chemical Engineering graduate of Adamson University. She finished her MSChE and PhDChE from De La Salle University. Currently, she is the Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department of De La Salle University-Manila.
Josie has been an officer of PIChE-MMAC since 2003 and currently, she is the President of the chapter.
She believes that with the strong commitment of the officers and full support of the members, PIChE will be able to attain its goals.

Susan A. Mamitag

Susan “San” Mamitag is currently the Materials and Quality Control Engineer of City Engineering Office, Local Government of Baguio City. She is a graduate of Saint Louis University, Baguio City. Before putting her heart to public service, she was employed in Texas Instruments (Phil.), Inc. as Quality Specialist. She has been an active member of the Baguio-Benguet where she served as director in 1996-97, now elected to the National Board as Vice President for Luzon.
"San" believes that through full support and cooperation among members from different chapters to PIChE will surely build a strong foundation for its continued growth and success. |

“Susan” Benitez is currently the Vice President for Production of Asian Alcohol Corporation. She finished her Masters in Chemical Engineering at Central Philippine University, Iloilo City. She was an active member of PIChE Negros Occidental Chapter since 1990 and served as PIChE-NOC director for sometime. She focused her Chemical Engineering Profession in Environmental Protection and Alcohol Distillery operations.
She is a recipient of 2009 Outstanding Chemical Engineer Award (Industry category for Environmental Management) for her significant and dedicated accomplishments in the field of Industry Environmental Management in pursuit of excellence in the practice of Chemical Engineering Profession. She was elected as PIChE Director for Visayas during the 2009 Annual Convention. |

Alexander T. Yap

“Alex” is a farm overseer & president of Loyalty Mining & Dev't.Corp. As an entrepreneur, he is the Proprietor of DAVAO MINERAL LABORATORIES, INC. (DAMILAB) - an independent commercial analytical laboratory.
A bonafide graduates of University of Mindanao in Davao City. He started serving PIChE-Davao Chapter way back 1975 after graduation. He got varied positions as a member & officer. He became immediate past Vice President for Industries and currently Chapter Adviser. He was awarded the First Vicente "BUDDY" Lava Entrepreneurship Award in 2008 Cebu 69th PIChE National Convention. During the Davao 70th National PIChE Convention, he was elected as one of the Directors for Mindanao in the National Board of Directors. An Institutional Awardee 2009 of his Alma Matter, for achievement as Entrepreneur thus exemplifying the Vision, Mission and Goal of the University.
He believes in “Start Livelihood development early for the youth. Our chapter will focus on teaching the chemical engineers technical & practical knowledge con entrepreneurship by applying thru a cooperative system." |

Ferdinand C. Zapanta

"Ferdie" Zapanta is a part time consultant on Quality and Productivity. He retired from San Miguel Corporate Quality Management as Quality Specialist.
He worked with San Miguel for 29 years with 13 years of which as Brewery supervisor at Polo Brewery Brewing department. An active member of Polo Chapter since its foundation, he served as the chapter secretary until his election as PIChE National Secretary. He is also actively working with Educhild Foundation an NGO handling parenting and family courses. |

Alexander B. Safran

“Alex” Safran is currently the acting Systems and Instruments Coordinator concurrent with his position as Technology & Operations Engineer in Petron Bataan Refinery’s Special Projects Group. His 7 years of refinery experience couples his 7 years of active service to the PIChE-Bataan Chapter. He served as PIChE-Bataan Chapter President from March 2009 to April 2010 and was recently elected by his peers as a National Board Officer.
He is optimistic that with dedication, teamwork and active participation from its officers and members, PIChE would realize its dream of becoming a premier professional organization in the Philippines.

Chamaigne Luz S. de la Gente- Jamandre is PIChE-Panay President in 1999, 2000 and 2007 to the present. She has served PIChE as National Secretary in 2001 and 2002 and as Board of Director in 2004. Holder of Master in Engineering and Master in Industrial Technology, she is currently connected with the Chemical Engineering Department of the College of Engineering and Architecture of the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City. She is an experienced product developer and researcher, an entrepreneur, Manufacturing Productivity improvement, Cleaner Production and Energy Audit technical consultant/assessor. |

Humbelina M. Castro

Humbelina “Lin” Castro joined CBK Power Company Limited (CBK Power), a hydropower company in Laguna, as Vice President for Environment and Community Relations in May 2001 where she was appointed concurrently as Environmental Management Representative (EMR) in 2002 and then as Integrated Management Representative (IMR) in 2006. She led the formulation and now guides the implementation of the company’s environmental management system, community relations strategy, and social development program at CBK Power.
Before joining CBK Power, she worked with the Environmental Management Department of the National Power Corporation (NPC), Philippine Atomic Energy Commission (now Philippine Nuclear Research Institute).
Ms. Castro has a B. S. Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila and a Master of Science in Environmental Health Sciences from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Larry B. Cesario is currently a General Supervisor of Special Engineering Office of Coral Bay Nickel Corporation. A graduate of Saint Louis University, Baguio City and a Member of the Board of Director of PIChE Palawan Chapter which had just founded last year 2009. Being a newly elected member of the National Board of Director present him a new challenge and opportunity in the field of Chemical Engineering. It greatly contributes to his growth professionally as a Chemical Engineer.
Larry is looking forward to the continued realization of PIChE’s BIG LEAP last year with the active participation of all the chapters and their members nationwide.

Engr. Eloisa Villegas, a graduate from the University of San Carlos is the current branch manager of Elasco International Corporation located in Mandaue City, Cebu. She has been an active member of the PIChE Cebu chapter where she served as president for two consecutive terms. She supports the advocacy on environmental protection through her involvement in the Cebu Common Treatment Facility and where she is one of the Board Members and the Cebu Electroplaters Association where she serves as treasurer.
She is confident that taking an active role in PIChE by giving witness to what PIChE believes is a great honor and challenge. |

Rodel T. Fronda

Rodel "Del" Fronda is currently assigned as Quality Assurance staff of the Production Division of Philippine Sinter Corporation, a 100% Japanese-owned subsidiary of JFE Steel Corporation, engaged in the agglomeration of Iron ore as part of a larger process in the manufacture of iron and steel products. He has been an active officer of the PIChE - Cagayan de Oro Chapter since registering for membership last 2005, having served as Auditor for three years, Vice-President-Industry and then as one of the youngest Presidents prior to being designated as one of the Directors for Mindanao.
He is hopeful for a significant rise in both the number of active Chapter members and active PIChE Chapters, through implementation of programs and projects that aim to increase overall interest, participation, and awareness on the Chemical Engineering profession and dedication to the PIChE organization.

Dyna C. Enad

Dyna C. Enad is presently the Technical Executive Assistant of the Power Business Unit of Alcantara Group of Companies. She finished her Degree in Chemical Engineering and Master in Business Administration at the University of the Philippines Los Baňos and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, respectively. She is currently enrolled in UP Open University under the program Master in Environment and Natural Resources Management. She is also an active member of PIChE Socsargen Chapter as Secretary for 2010-11.
When given the chance to serve PIChE, she readily accepted the position alien to her, not only for the love for PIChE but also for the challenge of a new responsibility. She looks forward to working closely with the rest of the Board to further create value for the profession.
